Alfred Faragasso, 55, was flown to a Trenton hospital following the Sunday July 3 crash.

UPPER FREEHOLD -- A Jackson man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 524 at Sharon Station Road, the New Jersey State Police said.

Alfred Faragasso, 55, was flown to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton following the 2:25 p.m. crash, where he died a short time later, police said.

Faragasso was heading east on Route 524 (New Canton - Stone Tavern Road) when his Triumph motorcycle and a southbound car collided at the intersection, police said.

Faragasso and his motorcycle were pinned under the car when rescuers arrived.

Southbound traffic on Sharon Station Road is controlled by a stop sign and Route 524 is a through road, without any traffic devices.

The car's driver, Agar Kannamangala Singra Gowda, 26, of Trumbull, Ct., was not injured.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Tuesday by the state police, spokesman Sgt. Gregory Williams said.
