BRICK TOWNSHIP --Authorities identified a man killed in a single-car accident on the Garden State Parkway in Brick as a 76-year-old Barnegat resident.
Robert Craven was killed when his Cadillac left the road in the northbound lanes of the Parkway shortly before noon on Oct. 8, said Sgt. Gregory Williams, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police.
Police suspect Craven may have suffered a medical emergency before his car veered across the lanes at mile marker 93.6 and rear-ended a Lexus. But Williams said that is still part of the investigation.
After the Cadillac hit the Lexus, Craven's car went off the road and struck some trees, authorities said at the time.

A passenger in the Cadillac was injured but the driver of the Lexus was not, authorities said.
His obituary said Craven was a U.S. Air Force veteran who was born in Newark and spent the past year living in Barnegat. The obituary said he is the father of six, grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of four.
