TOMS RIVER -- Police are investigating a robbery at the Investors Savings bank on Fischer Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
A man entered the bank around 12:32 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, said Toms River police Officer Ralph Stocco.
The man then fled the bank with cash, Stocco said. He did not say how much, though.
No additional information was available. Police released a photograph of the suspect taken from a surveillance camera.
Stocco said more information would be released when it becomes available.
He asked anyone with information to contact Toms River police Detective Randy Petrick at 732-349-0150 ext. 1235. Police also encourage people to send them a private message to the Toms River Police Department Facebook page.
The FBI and Ocean County Sheriff's Office's Crime Scene Investigation Unit are assisting in the investigation.
