Brick police said Benjamin Kuklo inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl during a job interview at Bennie's Diner.
BRICK -- The owner of a township diner stands accused of inappropriately touching a 16-year-old girl.
Benjamin Kuklo, 52, was charged Tuesday with one count of criminal sexual contact, a fourth-degree offense. Kuklo is the owner of Bennie's Diner on Mantoloking Road in Brick, business records show.
Brick police said Kuklo touched a 16-year-old girl "inappropriately" when she was in Bennie's Diner for a job interview. Following the interview, the girl contacted police, and they were able to obtain a warrant for Kuklo's arrest, police said.
A municipal judge set bail for Kuklo at $2,500. Police released Kuklo from jail after he posted bail.
When reached at the diner on Sunday, Kuklo declined to comment. He then asked a reporter to call him back in a couple of days.
Police are asking anyone who has had "inappropriate contact" with Kuklo or anyone at Bennie's Diner to call Brick police Detective Tara Schinder at 732-262-1120.
