BERKELEY TWP. -- A 55-year-old man was arrested Thursday for selling drugs out of his home located in a retirement community, police said.
Police obtained a search warrant for the New Castle Court home in the 55+ community Holiday City at Berkeley after neighbors contacted authorities, Berkeley police said in a news release.
Police said they discovered a "quantity of heroin and marijuana" in the home, but did not say how much.
Joseph Earley, 55, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Earley was taken to the Ocean County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Berkeley police, the Ocean County SWAT team and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit responded to the scene.
