Officers found 18 guns when they raided the home of John Figlar, police said.
BERKELEY - A 75-year-old township resident was arrested Friday and charged with illegally selling guns out of his home, police said.
Officers found 18 guns -- including handguns, rifles and shotguns -- when they raided the Eton Road home of John Figlar, police said.
The raid came at the culmination of a month-long investigation in which investigators learned Figlar was allegedly selling guns without the required permits to make the deals, police said.
Officers also seized ammunition from the home and a "large amount" of cash believed to be proceeds from the alleged underground gun-dealing operation, police said.
Figlar was charged with unlawful sale of firearms and unlawful sale of ammunition. He was released from police headquarters and given a summons to appear in court at a future date.
Police said more charges are expected to be filed against Figlar.
