A homebuyer willing to throw down more than three times the median sales price for a single-family property in New Jersey has a breadth of options from which to choose their next abode.
But higher-end house hunters still need to prioritize their real estate wish list. In the country's most densely-populated state, a change of zip code can mean the $1 million buys you a sizable estate, a small piece of land or a less than 1,000-square-foot condo.
A multi-family beach house in Lavellette comes with an asking price of $1 million, as does a four-bedroom home with ocean views in Ventnor. But don't expect to hide from your neighbors in either location. (More sprawling Shore residences can run as high as $40 million.)
