Lakewood police continue to investigate the crash. (File photo)LAKEWOOD -- A woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night was identified as 55-year-old Kathy Woods of Lakewood.
Woods was walking on E County Line Road around 9:40 p.m. when she was hit by a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder near Berkowitz Avenue, police said.
Police have not yet identified the driver of the Pathfinder, but said she is a 34-year-old township woman.
Following the crash, Woods was taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood where she later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
