LYNDHURST - A Barnegat man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her Lyndhurst home while she slept, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Pedro A. Castillo-Valdes, 35, sexually assaulted the woman on Friday, April 22, authorities said in a news release.
Police said the victim and Castillo-Valdes were acquainted.
"The investigation revealed that Castillo-Valdes approached the female while she was asleep and sexually assaulted her. She was awoken during the assault," police said.
Castillo-Valdes was charged with aggravated sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault.
He was held on $100,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
